The JBS design team has been showing how they can use Pinterest to inspire their own layouts. You can check out the gorgeous examples on the JBS Mercantile Inspiration Blog.
Two of my layouts using the October JBS Mercantile kit, were Pinterest inspired.
"Play Football" was inspired by a print ad using a flag banner. You can see the inspiration piece and read all about it here: http://www.jennibowlinstudioinspiration.blogspot.com/2014/10/from-pinterest-to-scrapbook-page-banner.html
"In a Tree" was also Pinterest inspired. I loved this piece of art by Philippa Leith:
And although Philippa's artwork is done on different material and has quite a different feel to it, I was able to take inspiration from the sections of folded paper and diagonal flow of bits and pieces on her work. Does anyone know where I can find a current link for Philippa? I would love to know!
I'm already planning my next project using October's kit and inspiration from Pinterest. It's not only a fun way to complete a project, it challenges you also.
