I love the December Papercrafting Kit so much that my first two layouts used supplies just from the kit with one small exception.
Family Winter Walk: This layout is a REDO! Yes I have a few layouts I want to REDO, because they just don't make me happy looking at them. Perhaps they veer so much from my own style, or they don't tell the story I want it to tell. I love this layout now. The layout reminds me of the day and makes me smile.
I just loved the yellows, blues, and pinks in the kit and I focused on the yellows and blues here. The dotted envelopes in the kit are a.dorable! Here's where I ventured outside the kit and used the pins from the Artisan Add-on. The film strip and photo edges are digital and the snowflakes are a Martha Stewart punch.
The envelope holds extra photos and journaling from this day and so I let it known with a sticker from the Basic Grey sticker sheet in the kit.
Love, the Youth's Companion - There's a story to this layout also. I took inspiration for this layout from a little notebook I've had forever.
This little notebook has sketches I made at one very long extremely long doctor's appointment. This doctor has GREAT magazines - don't you just love it when that happens! I sketched to my hearts content, many of the ads in the magazines.
Here's the one I used that spring-loaded me into this layout:
I know - the layout looks nothing like the inspiration - but isn't that the GREAT thing about inspiration? It starts you off in a direction and you take it from there.
I loved playing with the Bonus Chevron Stencil Cut in the kit this month. I sized it to fit on my page and deleted all but three of the zig-zags. So much you can do with this file!
Here's the December Papercrafting kit:
and here's the digital cutting file - I'm not sure you can see it, but the Exclusive Stencil in the same chevron pattern is offered in the kit too. So many possibilities with the stencil, too!
You can see the kit and everything you get in it right here!
Thanks for visiting!
