Jen Martakis digital kit + girly 3-D stash =

I just love the February kit from Jen Martakis. Really, really, really tempted me to do an all digi layout.  But I've got this 3-D stash at home I'm tryin' to use up, too   ;)

The large frame with photos, partial title, and journaling was printed out on white textured cardstock. I mounted it on pink Bazzill, and embellished with Heidi Swapp hearts and chipboard letters, Prima flowers, Maya Road pins, and brads.  Swiped white paint around the edge to finish.

Thanks for stopping by!  The sun is finally shining here - but not for long, so I hear!

Ella Sketch Challenge and a lot of stash!

I took the sketch challenge on the Ella blog and made a layout documenting ds's triple play a few years back.

Yes, I did use the sketch by Donna:

The  left hand photo was used for my photo and the right side photo was used for the journaling block.

And I used a lot of my stash - old and new - just couldn't help myself!  But it's fun to change things up a bit, isn't it?

Used an entire sheet of Making Memories number stickers, Autumn Leaves stencils, Creative Imaginations diecut paper, Teresa Collins patterned paper and charm, Bazzill Basics library pocket, 7gypsies metal tag, American Crafts brad and patterned paper, Rusty Pickle arrow, and a Cricut "3".

have fun trying out the Ella sketch challenges and thanks for stopping by! - betsy

Guest blogger on ItsScraptacular and Jenni Bowlin blog inspiration

I'm a guest blogger today on the ItsScraptacular blog today - check it out. Features project number NINE that I made from their endless January kit!

here's a sneak:

The Jenni Bowlin Inspiration Blog just inspires me over and over. Stephanie made a gorgeous simple printer's tray (see it here) and it inspired me to make my own.

The 7gypsies Printer Tray was from a JBS Mercantile project kit.   Used Jenni's mini bingo cards, and accented with little beach rocks and these very cool copper flowers I found at a flea market.

Simple, sweet, and I love it!  So bummed that I can't really take clear, clear pics anymore.  It's my hands/arms . . . but hoping this can change one day.  For me . . . and for so many others! Support a cure for MS, if you can. They are getting closer to finding a reason, giving relief, and one day reversing. The 3 "Rs" I keep in my head. And let's throw PREVENTION in there. So our future generations don't have to deal with this disease. Can't lose the hope.

Its Scraptacular January kit is up!

Right here: Its Scraptacular January kit!

The kit is up and it's gorgeous!  I created EIGHT projects with this kit!

Here's what I created with it as guest designer this month:

Goddaughter: the only thing i added of my own was twine, a button, cardsock and i used my own punches! The patterned paper in the kit worked so well together!

Uh-oh Snow! Added my own buttons and floss. LOVE the heavy duty winter stickers in this kit. The colors are awesome!

Special delivery: The red patterned paper here by Collage Press was my absolute favorite - LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Added my own cardstock and used some punches here. I used a digi template by Jen Martakis for the basic bones and then used the kit to finish it off just right!

Sweet: My dear niece! Everything from the kit except the twine, tag, and white cardstock that I made flowers from.  I loved the silver snowflake trim that came in the kit. I cut single snowflakes from the trim and used them as flower centers:

Some of the paper in the kit screamed vintage to me, so I wanted to create a vintage page. This one's about my grandpa. Just added twine and the notebook paper on the bottom.

Went graphic here - everything is from the kit. Love this pic of ds. Isn't the patterned paper gorgeous?!

So Cute: and yes they were - and are! Used those great stickers from the kit again and more of the awesome patterned paper. Just added a couple brads.

I made this hanging ornament from the kit. The only thing I added was the hardware: jump rings, eyelets, and the bottom circle has a couple pieces of found jewelry.

It's tough to see, but the top circle has the sweetest embellishments on it. A beautiful acrylic snowflake and 3-D flower. The lace is from the kit as is all the patterned paper. I took bubble wrap and white paint to the top patterned paper.

Such a great kit and an awesome price - you can find it here: Its Scraptacular January Kit

And a giveaway - because my memory must be failing - i bought two of the same punch - and it's an awesome Martha Stewart punch:

Leave a comment stating that you're interested in the punch and I'll draw a name around 8pm Tuesday est.

and leave a comment even if you're not interested in the punch ;)  !
